Bygone Times Map Rooms
In association with Bygone Times we have created the Bygone Times Historic Map Rooms where visitors to Bygone Times can journey back in time over 500 years by viewing the perminent display of many different types of maps, plans and surveys.
The purpose built gallery containing over 100 framed reproduction maps produced directly from originals charts the history of these historic maps from c1500 to the 19th century.
There are many map browsers containing maps, plans and surveys sorted by Country District, where they can be studied or purchased. With many hundreds in the catalogue visitors can order from Bygone Times any title from the collection.

Why not visit Bygone Times?
Visiting Bygone Times or Botany Bay is a unique experience and holds interest and inspiration for every generation. As you walk through the Victorian cobbled alleyway into the main entrance of Bygone Times you feel as if you are stepping back in time.
From here the shopping area is spread across 3 distinct warehouses aptly named Bygone one, two and three. With 250 shopping units featuring antiques, collectables, curios, memorabilia and nostalgia the product range is diverse and always changing, providing interest every time you visit.
As well as exhibitions such as the map rooms there is a Second World War exhibition and a Penny Arcade featuring classic machines from yesteryear.
If you are a registered as a member of mapseeker by printing the Bygone Times voucher and writing your mapseeker membership number on the back you will gain free admission to Bygone Times and their sister attraction at Botany Bay.
Opening Times and Contact
Open all year round including Bank Holidays, except Christmas Day. Bank Holiday opening times are 10:30am – 5:30pm as usual.
Monday – Sunday 10:30am – 5:30pm
