This survey map of the Parish of Wolverhampton and the Parish of Sedgley contains the Townships of Wolverhampton, Bilston, Willenhall, Wednesfield and Sedgley.
The survey report refers to these towns as being intimately connected in interest. It then states that they are separated by intervals not exceeding one mile; and their increasing wealth and population renders it probable that this separation will in the process of time become imperceptible.
Other places recorded include Tettenhall, Penn, Stow Manor, Upper and Lower Gornal, nowadays part of this area is commonly referred to as the Black Country
