Scottish Heritage

More InfoChoose from any of the categories below or from the left hand menu.

A varied collection that includes a range of pictorial maps depicting traditional Scottish cultural themes: clans, tartans, castles and whisky. Also in this collection is a set of superb county maps produced by Bartholomew in 1882 for the Philips’ Handy Atlas of the Counties of Scotland.

There is also a stunning set of maps from the Historical Atlas of Modern Europe published in 1902 by W & A. K. Johnston showing Scotland at various times through history from pre-Roman times to the 19th century. Always of interest are old town plans, and included in the collection are some beautifully produced town plans from The Royal Scottish Geographical Society’s Atlas of Scotland, produced by J.G. Bartholomew in 1895.
