Very detailed plan of Manchester and Salford 1807 by Cole and Roper. There is a view of the College Cloisters to the top left of the plan. At this time the Bridgewater Canal and famous Rochdale Canal skirted around the outskirts of Manchester through fields and open pastures. Much attention has been given to the many orchards and gardens in and around Manchester at the time. All of Manchester and Salford's key buildings are identified.
